This is a checklist of the factors you should consider Keyword length: it is considered in a recent seo review that people used unnecessarily long key phrases to get the ranking. It might come from unscrupulous seo agency advices that are cheating their customers. This being said it is advisable to select a keyword which is a combination of 2-4 words. The volume of searches per day: Why keywords are so important when selecting them? Because selecting the wrong keyword will give you no traffic. It is generally advisable to select those keywords volumes that have high research history. Competitiveness keywords: If too many pages are in competition for that keyword, you stand little chance to achieve top ranking. Good keyword is a correlation between high search and low pages competition. It is very important to balance between those two factors.
